Gian Marco "Pantera" Pietrasanta - Fabio Zuffanti's Project

Mixes are started and are continuing unabated day by day. Now I can finally hear the pieces in their full version ready to become final. It's time for the most creative work where indulges with volume, effects and more. The album is coming to light!

August 28 : Gian Marco "Pantera" Pietrasanta

Pantera is an historical figure in the genoese music scene. Active for a long time he has played on a variety of projects that have ranged from jazz to folk, classical and funky. In the nineties with Blindosbarra created in an Italian way to funky-rock putting his horns in the vibrant musical texture. Like many of the musicians who have rallied he turned out to be a great fan of progressive rock and the moments in which we have mentioned especially Van Der Graaf Generator you do not count.
The positive (and a little out of the norm) thing that I have tried to do for this record (thanks to the valuable advices by Rox) was to choose some musicians from different areas than purely prog-lovers; jazz musicians, rockers, funkers and others. This to give a different flavors to a music that anyway and in all respects is progressive but is largely played by musicians who, although love the genre, do not usually play it. The result is a rock-symphonic music more dynamic, agile, lively and grooving, even in the most intricate moments.
In the studio Pantera was caught by the positive atmosphere that prevailed and gave the best of his best, both in written parties than in solos, playing fluidly with flute, alto and soprano sax.

More and more the songs were taking their final form, a form in some cases quite different from how I had designed in the demo. A robust and mature form. I, Rox and all the musicians were infected by the euphoria of the work and do not wait to hear the final result.
