Zuffanti's Project: Alberto Tafuri

We have finished recording and mixing of "The fourth victim" from almost a month and the time elapsed so far has been used to think about a mastering that was worthy of the name. A mastering that could highlight the peculiarities of the disk without highest volumes or frequencies out of control. Today the miracle, I have heard with Rox the definitive work on mastering and emotion has been high. The album sounds VERY good and everything is in its place in the spectrum sound in a perfect manner. The sound is powerful, very powerful, but at the same time soft and full-bodied; it embraces you without smash your eardrums and makes you savor every smallest detail.
Rox Villa made his abosolute recording masterpiece and the mastering has put the icing on the cake on it all. I look forward to that you can listen to.

September 11: Alberto Tafuri

Enzo Zirilli had been very happy with the work carried out for my album and I had signaled one of his friend to whom it would be nice make play the keyboards on
"Sotto un cielo nero".
This song was getting a bit a thing apart in the record, besause it contains many references to the jazz-rock that would have been required to play from musicians well aware of the language. For this Enzo advised me Alberto Tafuri, one of the most important Italian producers and musicians in the pop field, with great productions of some of the most popular contemporary artists. Alberto, however, is also a superfine jazz musician and a progressive rock lover so therefore, according to Enzo, he would be happy to play on a song like "Sotto un cielo nero" that included interventions of moog, hammond and an unleashed electric piano solo in the more jazzy section.
Alberto was very kind and after having heard and liked the song has accepted the collaboration that he would done in his home studio.
On September 11, I went in Milan to hear the results. Although busy with the new edition of X-Factor in the role of vocal coach, Alberto has found time to record his keyboards parts. And what parts! He did the electric piano solo in an extraordinary way, but he made even more! He recorded the same solo even with an acoustic piano. And when I've listened it my mouth open in amazement did not want to close. Incredible! A fluidity, speed and passion in the execution that I heard it only a few times. In the studio then we had to decide whether to keep the piano solo electric or acoustic one but I had no doubt about this.
